Re: Reset button per mode(?)
There is the 'New scan' button on the home tab. This resets the scan modes and criteria to the default, but it will do all of them, not just one mode.
It's better than resetting the entire program, but perhaps a mode-by-mode default button is something for version 6.

Re: Change from trial version to free version
The free (LE) version of Duplicate Cleaner is a separate program only on the Microsoft Store, but this won't retain your existing scan from Pro:

Re: Search dupe image only between 2 folders
In your example it will always show image1 and image1+ (Folder B) because they both match something in folder A.
You can ignore duplicate groups which are entirely in the same folder using:
"Ignore duplicate groups within the same folder" (More duplicate options)

Re: Keep Album Versions--Delete single versions. How?
I can't think of an automatic way of doing this. One thing - if you have a folder that just contains an album you want to keep, you can either- -Click 'protect' on the folder, that way you won't mark it accidentality if using 'all but one in each group' or similar. or -right click on a track on the ...

Re: The log file is located but never shows anything
Have you checked that 'Log events' is checkmarked in the settings, and that the log file location is where you'd expect?
Try clicking on view log to confirm the location.

Re: File name: begins with, contains...
It's not obvious, but assuming this is what you want you can just edit the file filter:-
-On the Criteria Tab, uncheck All File Extensions
-Change 'Included' to be something like, for example:
or
You can even have multiple settings by separating them with a semicolon
-On the Criteria Tab, uncheck All File Extensions
-Change 'Included' to be something like, for example:
Code: Select all
MyName*.*
