Apologies if this isn't the place to make product suggestions, but I would find the ability to pin directories very useful in DC. I have several directories containing photos and it would save time having to navigate to find my most-often referenced ones.

Update: Malwarebytes has recognized this as a false positive and whitelisted the program. Sorry for the "fake news".

Today I started Duplicate Cleaner 5.0.13 and was notified that version 5.14 is available. I downloaded, installed and ran it; found some duplicate photos which I marked for deletion. When I clicked on the Delete Files button, Malwarebytes kicked in and said it stopped a ransomware attack and quarant...

I've retried resetting the database and sometimes it helps; sometimes it doesn't. I may do a clean re-install of Windows 10 anyway; just thought I'd run it by the developer.

Greetings. I'm running Duplicate Cleaner Pro v4.0.3 on Windows 10-64 AU. This morning when I started the program, it came up and immediately shut down. I tried starting it 3 or 4 more times and eventually it stayed up. I noticed this in the "Duplicate Cleaner Log.txt" file: 10/2/2016 10:09...

I ended up doing what you document as "method 2" - deleting the DuplicateCleaner4_Pro.data file. That seems to have fixed the problem for now.

Update...had to uninstall 4.0.3 and reinstall 4.0.2. 4.0.3 keeps shutting down. Oh well...

Running Windows Pro 10-64AU. Recently installed DCP 4.0.3 and seemed to be working OK; this morning, when I started it, it would appear to start and immediately shut down. Rebooted; tried again; same thing. Reinstalled DCP 4.0.2 and it worked OK. Then re-upgraded to DCP 4.0.3 and seems to be working...
