TextCrawler is a tool for easily finding and replacing text across multiple files. It's advanced features include regular expression processing, text extraction, Unicode support and batch processing.
What type of files will it read?
It will read any type of text file (the file extension doesn't matter). It supports Unicode, including UTF-8 (with or without BOM) and UTF-16 (big or little endian). It also supports plain ASCII (ANSI).
What won't it read?
TextCrawler isn't intended for binary document formats, such as Microsoft Word .doc files. You may still get some results with these files, but there is a danger of file corruption when replacing text.
Main Features
Input from folders, single files, or the clipboard
To preview the replacement on a file, right click on it and select the 'Preview replaced text' from the Results list context menu. You can also click the 'Toggle preview' button.
To perform the replacement click the 'Replace' button. You will be asked if you are sure you want to do this.
