Performance issues

Hello,

I am using version 4.03 and I having huge performance issues with software. It's very slow. Most of the time the status in Task manager shows Not Responding.
Sometimes it takes 30 seconds to select a folder or a file that I want to delete.

How many files do you have in your scan/duplicate list? Numbers in the millions may affect performance. Also having a user profile on a slower network drive may affect database speed.

There are about 300,000 files. All drives a local drives.

(Just throwing out thoughts ...)

Restart your computer in Safe Mode... ?

(Backup, with DC closed) then purge (rename) the existing Duplicate Cleaner "databases" (DuplicateCleaner[Pro].data).


Might see if there is any difference with either of those.
(And if no difference, restart computer normally, rename the databases back to their original name.)
