TextCrawler 3 [beta]

Post by DigitalVolcano »

As of version 3.0, TextCrawler will be splitting into a Free and Pro (paid) version. You'll still get great features in the free version, but much more power in the Pro.

If you are interested in trying a beta of Pro there is more info here: [EDIT: link removed - the beta is now closed]

Hello. I'm testing this in work. I'm interested in the case change function which is the one thing we could not get TC to do in our script, so had resorted to using Notepad++ for that one task. How does it work, I can't see anything that gives me a hint as to how to use this function from the GUI.

Thanks!

It's most useful when used in regex mode. Enter a regex/search term (e.g. [a-z]) and select "Change to upper case" or "Change to lower case" to the right of the "Replace" box.

"Change to Title case" is available too - this is only useful if you are capturing whole words or phrases!

Ah, I see. This doesn't seem to be available in batch processing though. Will it be at some point?
