No, Audio mode works the same way.
Disabling or caching metadata is something planned for version 6.

The states can be presets for scanning, but they can also be complete saved scans (including marked files, etc).

The Scan folder contains the currently active scan
The States folder contains the saved states (You'll see the files have the name gived to the saved state).

You can't currently turn off Metadata in Video mode. You can read without metadata using Regular mode, but this will hash the entire file, not just the video portion.

You can create your own scan presets and saved states using the load and save function on the Home tab. It doesn't compare the metadata but it does read it in order to display it in the results. (e.g. it always displays the length (duration)

All this does is add the folder name to the 'Scan location' list. It doesn't move the folder. It's more likely that you've dragged the folder to another location in the file explorer before you dropped it in DC. Scanning inside zip/archive files has a massive impact on the scan speed, as it has to unzip each file to scan it (assuming you are doing a content scan). That's why it's off by default. Once the hashes are cached for the zip things will be faster.

This could be due to the DPI setting in the Images. Which program version are you using? Are you using the thumbnail mode, the Preview column, or the Image Preview Window?
