Re: Deleting files on NAS very slow
DigitalVolcano, I think I solved it. I digged a little more into the Synology issue, and on their site I found some more information on it. Turns out that you have to do more than just turn on "Large MTU" on the synology drive to get faster transmission rates. There is also a setting on yo...

Deleting files on NAS very slow
Not sure if this is a duplicate cleaner thing, or a synology NAS thing, but deleting files from my synology NAS is painfully slow. Keep in mind I am simply deleting, not sending to recycle bin, as I've heard that tends to be slower. Is it also slower to delete files within zip files? I am doing quit...

Re: Importing Folder List
DigitalVolcano,
I simply exported the folder list file using the menu option in the software, and imported it using the import folder list option in the software. I made no changes to it whatsoever. I did not check to see if there were quotes surrounding the path.
Thanks!

Importing Folder List
Hi Everyone! Have another problem I ran into. After scanning all my files on my NAS, I then immediately exported the folder list to an excel spreadsheet. When attempting to import that spreadsheet, I receive an error. I don't have the exact error word for word, but it said something along the lines ...

Re: Delete Error: The parameter is incorrect
therube, All I did was uncheck the box "enable Large MTU" and uncheck the box "enable SMB2" in my Synology Diskstation OS, not windows. Yes, the forum posting is the same thing I saw on Synolgoy's forums. Apparently there's no fix for it yet. Duplicate Cleaner now works, however ...

Re: Delete Error: The parameter is incorrect
In case any one else runs into this, I figured it out. It's an issue with the Synology Diskstation and windows, not Duplicate Cleaner. Once I unchecked "enable SMB2" and "enable Large MTU" and did a restart, Duplicate Cleaner was able to delete files on my NAS again. Thanks again...

Re: Delete Error: The parameter is incorrect
therube, It is a Synology Diskstation DS211j. I did try turning off my desktop's antivirus, and there is no antivirus turned on the NAS. I do have OneDrive turned off, and the NAS has no syncing service turned on. At this point I'm thinking about taking out the NAS drive and plugging it in my PC, an...

Re: Delete Error: The parameter is incorrect
Thanks all for the responses! therube, I did not run a chkdsk but the drive I know is good and healthy. I did set permissions up to give full permissions to the drive, however that did not cause the error to go away. I posted a copy of the log file so that perhaps someone could verify that the name ...

Delete Error: The parameter is incorrect
Hello all, I'm trying to remove some duplicate files. When deleting, I'm able to delete some, but not all. There are quite a few I cannot delete. I receive an error in the logfie for each file with "Delete Error: _______ : The parameter is incorrect." Any thoughts? These files are on a net...

How to best remove a large amount of files
Hi all, Ok, so I have a 1TB drive that has a whole lot of duplicate files/folders etc... and I'm trying to use this program to get rid of all the files I don't want. I thought the folder duplication method would work well, but is there no "selection assistant" tool that you can use with th...
